JPN Submarine WWII Coastal Submarines Tier 3 Power 40.72

Improved Coastal Boats - RO-35-class were improved coastal defense submarines. 18 boats built 1943-1944. Slightly larger than RO-100 (700/960 tons). Eight torpedoes (doubled from RO-100's four) - significant improvement. 14 knots surfaced, 8 submerged. Still slow, still limited, still misused. 14 lost (78% loss rate). 4 survived to surrender. Last coastal submarine class to see combat. Showed improvement over RO-100 but still inadequate for Pacific warfare.
