Sakura-Class
Mass-Produced Early Destroyers - Sakura-class were pre-WWI Japanese destroyers. 18 ships commissioned 1912-1913 - largest early destroyer class. Small (420 tons), coal-fired, lightly armed (two 3-inch guns + four 18-inch torpedoes). 30 knots. WWI convoy escort. Many converted to patrol boats/minesweepers 1920s (obsolete as destroyers). All scrapped or converted by 1936. None survived as destroyers to WWII. Showed early mass production before WWI.
