Final Fubukis - Akatsuki-class (Special Type III) were the final evolution of Fubuki-class destroyers. 4 ships commissioned 1932-1933. Six 5-inch guns + eight Long Lance torpedoes. 38 knots. All four saw intensive combat. All four lost 1942-1945 (100% loss rate). Akatsuki sunk at Guadalcanal (searchlight sacrifice). Ikazuchi rescued 422 Allied survivors (Exeter, Encounter) - remarkable humanity. Hibiki survived to 1947, transferred to Soviet Union. Represented peak Fubuki-type design maturity.
